According to a Cricbuzz report, Ryan ten Doeschate, a former Netherlands all-rounder, has stated that he wants to leave his position as assistant coach of India. Sources cited in the report emphasized that his choice is unrelated to his discontent with the position.
The final ODI against England is anticipated to be Ten Doeschate ‘s final assignment with the national side if his request is granted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and head coach Gautam Gambhir.
Ten Doeschate is believed to have finished his initial contract with the BCCI, which supposedly concluded between July 12 and July 14. He joined India’s coaching team two years ago. He is anticipated to formally end his term following the current ODI series against England, if all parties are in accord.
The 45-year-old made the decision for personal reasons and wants to spend more time with his London-based family, according to Cricbuzz. Additionally, he is reportedly seeking a position with a less rigorous schedule and less travel.
It was Gautam Gambhir who recommended Ryan ten Doeschate’s appointment after taking over as India’s head coach. The report added that Gambhir has the authority to reject his resignation, although such a scenario is considered highly unlikely.
