
With the Indian Premier League now over, the focus now shifts to India’s international assignments where the calendar looks packed over the next nine months. Team India is scheduled to play 59 matches across all the three formats until March 2027.
India cricket schedule begins in June 2026 against Afghanistan featuring one Test and three ODIs. India will then travel to Ireland for a two-match T20I series before taking on England in a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and five T20Is in July.
Later that month, India will face Zimbabwe in a three-match T20I series.
The home season gets underway in August-September with Sri Lanka touring India for two Tests and three T20Is. Afghanistan will return in September for a three-match T20I series, while India are also scheduled to participate in the Asian Games during September and October.
India will then host the West Indies for a white-ball series featuring three ODIs and five T20Is.
India will then embark on a long and all-format tour of New Zealand from October to December 2026. The series will include five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests (in that order).
Sri Lanka will return in December for another white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is, before India begin 2027 with a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in January.
Team India’s packed schedule culminates with a blockbuster five-Test series against Australia between February and March 2027.
Overall, India are slated to play 10 Tests, 20 ODIs and 29 T20Is, taking their total tally to 59 international matches during the period.
