Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma seek Premanand Maharaj’s blessings after RCB’s IPL triumph

Following Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s successful IPL campaign, newly crowned IPL 2026 champion Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, visited the Sant Premanand Maharaj ashram in Vrindavan on Tuesday to offer gratitude and ask for blessings.

The couple, wearing in face masks, reportedly drove up to Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram on the Vrindavan Parikrama Marg at around seven in the morning, according to ashram sources. They spent about two hours at the ashram after meeting Premanand Maharaj and getting his blessings.

They each wore a tripund (three horizontal lines) and sandalwood paste on their foreheads when they came out of the private meeting room. The couple was seen clutching a book that the ashram had given them.

Later, Kohli and Sharma went to Swami Hit Govind Sharan’s ashram to ask for his blessings. In April, the pair visited Vrindavan in honor of Akshaya Tritiya.

In the May 31 IPL final in Ahmedabad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets thanks to Kohli’s game-winning innings of an undefeated 75.

The former captain of India reached his fastest IPL half-century in just 25 deliveries, scoring runs off 42 balls with nine fours and three sixes. RCB won the title after finishing at 161/5 in 18 overs.
