Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), will virtually attend the ICC Annual Board Meeting, which is set for May 31 on the fringes of the tournament’s title match, as he has not been invited to the IPL final in Ahmedabad, according to a PTI report.
However, it has been learned that Naqvi will participate in the ICC Board of Directors meeting via video conference, which has always been an option for member representatives who are unable to travel. Due to the ongoing turmoil in West Asia, the ICC meeting that was supposed to take place in Doha last month had to be rescheduled.
Naqvi was never anticipated to attend the meeting in person, according to sources familiar with the developments, and his virtual participation was consistent with ICC protocol.
Naqvi is one of the three participants who will participate online in the meeting. The meeting is significant since it will take place in Ahmedabad concurrently with the IPL final, and key administrators from all cricket bodies are anticipated to attend.
