IPL 2026: Angkrish Raghuvanshi fined for Code of Conduct breach in KKR-LSG clash

Kolkata Knight Riders batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi was fined 20% of his match fees on Monday for his emotional outburst following his dismissal for blocking the field during his team’s Sunday IPL encounter against the Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow.

KKR won the match in the Super Over.

“Angkrish Raghuvanshi, batter & wicket-keeper, Kolkata Knight Riders, has been fined 20% of his match fee and has also accumulated one Demerit Point for breaching Level 1 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials during Match No. 38 against Lucknow Super Giants,” read an IPL statement.

“Raghuvanshi was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a Match.”

After being dismissed for “obstructing the field,” Raghuvanshi punched the boundary cushion violently with his bat in the fifth over and then hurled his helmet into the dugout.

Raghuvanshi acknowledged the offence and agreed to the penalty imposed by the match referee.
