PKL: Tamil Thalaivas bounce back in style, outclass Bengal Warriorz

The Tamil Thalaivas defeated the Bengal Warriorz 46-36 in the second game on Friday, getting back to winning ways at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur.

Arjun Deshwal scored 17 points that evening, but the Tamil Thalaivas played well as a team, with important contributions from Narender Kandola, Ronak, Aashish Umed, and Himanshu. Devank Dalal’s Super 10 for Bengal Warriorz, meanwhile, was in vain.

This game started quickly, with Arjun and Devank opening the score for their respective teams right away. With five points in as many minutes, the former enabled Tamil Thalaivas easily take a four-point lead, forcing Bengal Warriorz to play catch-up early on.

Although the Tamil Thalaivas defense did a good job of holding Devank at bay, Bengal Warriorz was able to narrow the gap thanks to efforts from Punit Kumar and Ankit. With Narender Kandola and Arjun both contributing at the attacking end, Tamil Thalaivas kept a three-point lead after the opening 10 minutes.

With their starting seven scoring at least one point in the first fourteen minutes of play, the Thalaivas quickly began to establish their superiority. They quickly took advantage of the momentum and gave the Bengal Warriorz an ALL OUT, quickly gaining a ten-point lead.

The Tamil Thalaivas’ defense remained unrelenting, denying their opponents any margin of victory. Arjun and Narender, meanwhile, scored 13 points between them in the first half, giving their squad a commanding 23–11 lead at the intermission.

Bengal Warriorz gained much-needed momentum in the first few minutes of the second half thanks to Devank Dalal’s impressive speed and athleticism. By completing their first ALL OUT, the season seven champions reduced the gap to eight points.

But each time the Bengal Warriorz made a run threat, Tamil Thalaivas blocked the way. Arjun Deshwal finished his Super 10 to guarantee that his team would control the game and keep a strong eleven-point lead going into the last quarter.

In order to keep his team within striking distance, Devank Dalal also finished his Super 10; nonetheless, the Bengal Warriorz were never able to control the game. The season seven champions gave the game a glimpse of hope with a Super Tackle with less than two minutes remaining, making it a seven-point contest.

Unfortunately for them, Arjun Deshwal delivered another ALL OUT to assist the Tamil Thalaivas win 46-36 and cross the finish line in a comprehensive manner.
