The Dabang Delhi KC defeated the Bengal Warriorz 45-34 on Tuesday night, securing the top spot in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 standings. With the star raider earning 16 points and Ajinkya Pawar’s all-around performance providing strong assistance, Ashu Malik and his team put on a comprehensive display as they won for the fourth time in a row at the Vishwanadh Sport Club in Vizag.
Unexpectedly, Neeraj Narwal got off to a strong start for Dabang Delhi before their star, Ashu Malik. He sent Parteek and Mayur Kadam off the mat with a multi-point raid, and Ashu joined in after Parteek was successfully ejected once more.
With two successive dismissals of Surjeet Singh, Dhaakad Devank Dalal undid Dabang Delhi’s impressive start. Parteek, Ashish Malik, and Vishwas S were eliminated in an Ajinkya Super Raid, while Devank once again excelled with two successful raids. As a result, the score entered the Time-Out at 10-9 after what had begun as a close game.
When Saurabh Nandal lost to another successful attack by Devank, the scores were tied. In order to trap the Warriorz captain for a Super Tackle, Ajinkya changed his role from raider to defender. Fazel Atrachali returned to the mat as a result, and the Iranian ace quickly dismissed Vishwas S for his first point of the evening with an ankle hold.
Nitesh Kumar and Parteek were both taken out by Ajinkya’s multi-point attempt during the Do-or-Die raid, which saw him shine once more. The Season 8 champions took a 10-point lead after the Bengal Warriorz were given the ALL OUT in the fourth minute. The score at the end of the first half was 23-14, but Devank’s second dismissal of Surjeet reduced that advantage to nine.
Devank Dalal’s fourth consecutive Super 10 in Season 12 was accomplished with another touch point on Surjeet Singh, but the veteran star ultimately defeated him. With a touch point on Ashish shortly after, Agent Ashu also recorded his fourth consecutive Super 10.
A Super Tackle on Devank and a Super Raid from Neeraj increased Dabang Delhi’s advantage to 11 points just as the Warriorz were about to re-enter the game. Ajinkya got his third tackle point of the evening just before the second time-out, bringing the scoreboard to 34–22.
Following an unforced error and a touch point for Ashu, the Warriorz were given a second ALL OUT, increasing Dabang Delhi’s advantage to 15 points. In the very next attack, the Dabang Delhi defense instantly retaliated by catching Manprit Pardeep after Parteek managed a tackle on Ajinkya as a consolation.
In a Do-or-Die raid in the last minutes, Ashu Malik’s high-flying move won the victory, giving the team an 11-point lead. The Season 8 PKL champions had a complete performance, finishing the game 45-34, with Ashu spearheading the attack and the defense scoring 11 points.
