
In the final two group stage matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Mumbai will field Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube, and on January 29, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal may join the squad.
The top domestic 50-over tournament will start on January 24. Four venues—Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Jaipur, and Bengaluru—will host the group rounds.
India T20 captain Suryakumar and Dube, are set to play against Himachal Pradesh and Punjab on January 6 and 8, respectively. Jaiswal, who is presently recuperating from a bout of gastritis, can join the team on January 29 for the duration of the group stage.
On Monday in Jaipur, former India captain Rohit Shama joined the Mumbai team.
The BCCI has asked the Indian players to compete in the Vijay Hazare Trophy following the home series against South Africa.
Following their recent 3-1 victory over South Africa in the T20I series, the Indian players will take a three-week rest before their next home limited-over series against New Zealand.
From January 11–18, there will be a three-match ODI series against New Zealand. From January 21–31, there will be five Twenty20 Internationals.
