In accordance with the BCCI’s directive requiring participation in the National One-Day Championship, Indian ODI captain Shubman Gill, world No. 1 T20 batter Abhishek Sharma and bowler Arshdeep Singh were named in the Punjab team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Monday.
With ODIs against New Zealand scheduled to begin on January 11, Gill, who was left out of India’s T20 World Cup squad, and Arshdeep, a white-ball regular, may only be available for two or three games.

Abhishek may be available for additional games, but he will only be called up for Twenty20 matches.
Both Mumbai’s Rohit Sharma and Punjab’s Gill won’t be available for the January 8 big Mumbai vs Punjab match in Jaipur.
