T20 World Cup ticket pricing breakdown: Why India matches cost more

The cost of tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup matches at the Eden Gardens was announced by the Cricket Association of Bengal on Wednesday. The prices differed for group-stage and knockout games.

The T20 showpiece’s tenth edition will begin on February 7.

The following are the set ticket prices for the group matches between Bangladesh and Italy, England and Italy, and West Indies and Italy: Rs 4,000 for Premium Hospitality (B Premium); Rs 1,000 for Lower Block B and L; Rs 200 for Lower Block C, F, and K; Rs 200 for Lower Block D, E, G, H, and J; and Rs 100 for Upper Block B1, C1, D1, F1, G1, H1, K1, and L1.

The cost of tickets for the group matches between England and Bangladesh and the West Indies and Bangladesh has increased.

Lower Block B and L tickets cost Rs 1,500, while Premium Hospitality (B Premium) tickets cost Rs 5,000. Tickets for Lower Blocks C, F, and K cost Rs 1,000, Lower Blocks D, E, G, H, and J cost Rs 500, and Upper Blocks B1, C1, D1, F1, G1, H1, K1, and L1 cost Rs 300.

Premium Hospitality (B Premium) seats for the Super 8 games and the semi-final at Eden Gardens are priced at Rs 10,000.

Tickets for Lower Block B and L will cost Rs 3,000, Lower Block C, F, and K Rs 2,500, Lower Block D, E, G, H, and J Rs 1,500, and Upper Block B1, C1, D1, F1, G1, H1, K1, and L1 Rs 900.
