‘See you soon India!’ Lionel Messi set for Hyderabad stop on GOAT Tour in December

The capital of Telangana will be the fourth stop on Argentine football great Lionel Messi’s eagerly awaited “GOAT Tour to India 2025,” which he has confirmed will include Hyderabad next month.

Following the first part of his tour in Kolkata, the World Cup-winning captain will be in Hyderabad. After that, he will travel to Mumbai and New Delhi, where he is anticipated to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Thanks for all the love from India! The GOAT tour kicks off in a few weeks’ time!!! I’m happy to share that Hyderabad has been added to my visits to Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. See you soon India!” Messi posted on his social media handle.

Following the postponement of Argentina’s planned friendly in Kochi, which Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman had originally set for November 17, Hyderabad was added.

Messi’s “GOAT Tour” will now include all four regions of India: the east (Kolkata), south (Hyderabad), west (Mumbai), and north (New Delhi).

Messi’s event in Hyderabad will take place at either Gachibowli or Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, according to Satadru Dutta, the sole organizer of the “GOAT Tour to India 2025.”

A celebrity game, football clinic, felicitation, and musical event in Hyderabad are all part of the schedule, according to Dutta, who came up with the idea for the GOAT Tour, which will include a variety of celebrity football games, musical performances, meet-and-greets, kid-focused workshops, and felicitation ceremonies in four different cities.

Messi’s visit will begin in Kolkata on December 13, then move on to Hyderabad the same evening, Mumbai on December 14, and New Delhi on December 15.
