
Vijay Malik’s outstanding performance helped the Telugu Titans defeat the Patna Pirates 37–28 in Tuesday’s Pro Kabaddi League match in Chennai.
With a Super 10 score, Malik was unstoppable. The Telugu Titans are now in the top three after their third consecutive victory.
With some excellent raids, Ayan Lohchab of the Patna Pirates kept his team in the game and also shined with a Super 10. His efforts were insufficient, though, as the Titans produced a solid all-around performance and maintained composure in the pivotal moments to win.
With a spectacular Super Tackle to score the opening points, Avi Duhan gave the Telugu Titans a spectacular start to the match. The Titans took a 2-0 lead shortly after Vijay Malik’s successful raid added to the total.
Ayan executed a brilliant raid to put his team on the scoreboard, but the Patna Pirates swiftly responded. However, the Titans had strong willpower and persisted in their offensive momentum, establishing a 3-point advantage in the first six minutes of play.
The Titans had a slim one-point lead at the time of the first half Strategic Time Out, despite the Pirates’ valiant efforts to cut the distance and reduce the score to 8-7.
