PKL: Rampant Puneri Paltan crush Pink Panthers by season’s biggest margin

Puneri Paltan defeated the Jaipur Pink Panthers 57-33 on Wednesday at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium, securing their position atop the table. This season, they scored the most points of any team with 57 points.

Gaurav Khatri and Vaibhav Rabade’s high fives were the highlight of Paltan’s overall performance. Aslam Inamdar contributed six points, and Pankaj Mohite added nine points as well. Even though Vinay scored eight points and Ali Samadi achieved a Super 10 for the Pink Panthers, his team’s performance that evening was insufficient.

Puneri Paltan quickly established their dominance in this game, with multi-point raids from Aslam and Pankaj Mohite giving their team a 4-0 lead. Ali Samadi scored the first points for Pink Panthers, but four minutes into the game, their opponents gave them the first ALL OUT, putting pressure on them.

Aslam Inamdar maintained his team’s momentum, and Abinesh Nadarajan contributed to the defensive effort. Thus, at 14-4, the table-toppers led by ten points. But after ten minutes, Ali Samadi showed a lot of determination to enable the Pink Panthers cut the deficit to seven points.

The raider helped his team get their first ALL OUT and kept the scoreboard moving, reducing the deficit to five points. The Jaipur Pink Panthers unable to close the distance even with his best efforts and the defense’s assistance. After twenty minutes, the score remained at 23-17 thanks to a Super Tackle by Aashish Kumar toward the end of the first half.

Puneri Paltan started the second half in the same manner as the first, putting pressure on themselves to take control. They scored the second ALL OUT and took an eight-point lead thanks to a tackle by Mohd Amaan. The Paltan led 38–24 after Gaurav Khatri and Aditya Shinde continued to build on that momentum and Vaibhav Rabade recorded a few tackles to assist his team in executing another ALL OUT.

Vinay Redhu also helped the Pink Panthers, while Ali Samadi finished with his Super 10 for the evening. They lacked the numbers necessary to bridge the gap and make a strong resurgence, though. As the Paltan reached the fifty-point milestone, Gaurav Khatri finished his High Five and Abhishek Gunge entered with a Super Raid.

Puneri Paltan defeated the Pink Panthers handily in the end, winning 57-33 to guarantee a top-two position after a thorough performance. Their dominance that evening was further demonstrated by the fact that they scored the most points of any team this season and won by the largest margin of victory (24 points).
