Fans witnessed exciting performances as Puneri Paltan and Gujarat Giants won the PKL Season 12 games at the SDAT Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium.
Puneri Paltan defeated the Jaipur Pink Panthers 41-36 in a hotly contested opening match. With a Super 10, Aditya Shinde was the Paltan’s star player. Mohit Goyat and Pankaj Mohite each scored seven and eight points.
With 22 points, the most by an international player this season, Ali Samadi was a standout for the Pink Panthers.
Vishal Bhardwaj and the raiders orchestrated two ALL OUTs prior to halftime, giving Puneri Paltan an early lead of 25–12. In the second half, Samadi and Reza Mirbagheri helped the Pink Panthers rally and cut the lead to 33-33.
But in the closing minutes, Puneri Paltan’s defensive prowess was evident, as Dadaso Pujari and Mohit Goyat made vital Super Tackles to seal the victory.
Later in the day, the Gujarat Giants defeated the Bengal Warriorz 47–40, moving them off the bottom of the points table.
With 18 points, Rakesh Sungroya took the lead, with Mohammadreza Shadloui, Visvanth V, and Ankit Dahiya providing support. Even though Devank Dalal scored a historic 25 points for the Warriorz, their hopes were hindered by the lack of help.
With three ALL OUTs in the first 20 minutes and the season’s biggest first-half total of 31–12, the Gujarat Giants dominated early on. Although the Warriorz put up a valiant third-quarter comeback, the Giants won by seven points because to their early lead and well-played defense.
