Bengal Warriorz defeated the Patna Pirates 48-42 in their Pro Kabaddi League match on Saturday in Jaipur thanks to an outstanding performance by Devank Dalal.
Devank recorded his eighth consecutive Super 10 of the season and scored 22 points via a combination of shrewd raids and opportune bonuses.
The Bengal Warriorz drew first blood with a raid from Devank, but the Pirates hit back through Maninder Singh. The two sides traded points until Maninder’s multi-point raid swung the momentum, giving Patna a 7–6 lead.
After that, their defense took over, and with Ayan at the forefront, they scored the first all-out to seize the lead at 13–7. The Pirates had increased their lead to 16–11 by the time-out.
Devank changed the game just when Patna appeared to be in control. In addition to bringing up his Super 10, an outstanding Super Raid reduced the deficit to 17–14.
After Himanshu Narwal gained a raid point, the Warriorz took advantage of it by going all out to level the score at 19-19. At the break, the Warriorz had a slim advantage of 26–25.
The Warriorz maintained their momentum in the second half, stretching the lead before Ayan revived the Pirates. A timely tackle leveled the scores at 27–27, and with Ayan completing his Super 10, Patna stayed firmly in the contest.
Himanshu Narwal delivered a decisive raid in the final minute, earning points and triggering an all out to give the Warriorz a crucial four-point lead. They held on from there to seal the win.
