PKL: Bengaluru Bulls pip Gujarat Giants in last-minute thriller; UP Yoddhas rout Tamil Thalaivas

In a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 match at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, the Bengaluru Bulls defeated the Gujarat Giants 28–24 on Monday.

The Bulls’ defensive discipline, which was underpinned by captain Yogesh’s High Five and Akash Shinde’s seven raid points, cemented their return to winning ways despite a late comeback from the Giants.

Raiders Aashish Malik and Shinde gave the Bulls a stronger start, but Visvanth V’s incredible Super Raid momentarily swung the balance in Gujarat’s favor.

Bengaluru regained control thanks to Shinde’s Super Raid and timely Super Tackles from Jitender Yadav, leading 17–13 at the break.

The Bulls held a sizable lead throughout the third quarter and held off a fierce Giants comeback in the final seconds, thanks to Yogesh’s clutch tackles that prevented an ALL OUT.

In the evening’s second game, UP Yoddhas crushed Tamil Thalaivas 39–22 to end a five-match losing streak and record their third victory of the season.

With better raid success (36.59% vs. 22.5%) and tackle success (71.43% vs. 40%), the Yoddhas dominated every important category.

The surge was spearheaded by Raiders Gagan Gowda (7) and Bhavani Rajput (6), with captain Sumit Sangwan and vice-captain Ashu Singh scoring a combined nine points.

The Yoddhas rekindled their playoff aspirations by turning a 15–10 half-time deficit into a decisive 17-point victory with both attack and defense playing well together.
