Bengaluru Bulls defeated the Bengal Warriorz by an overwhelming 54-24 score at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday. With the victory, the Bulls took third place in the standings and the Warriorz’s PKL 12 campaign came to an end.
The Bulls had an absolutely overpowering performance, with Alireza Mirzaian recording another Super 10 and Deepak Sankar recording a High Five. Himanshu Narwal’s Super 10 was the only bright spot for the Warriorz.
Alireza Mirzaian set the tone for the Bulls right away, and they got off to a fast start. Vishwas gave the Warriorz their first goal, but his team soon ran into problems. Sanjay gave their team an opening when he made a tackle on the defensive end after Aashish Malik put himself on the board.
After a tackle by Satyappa Matti and a two-point Do-Or-Die Raid by Alireza, the Bulls forced the first ALL OUT and took a seven-point lead. Even though Himanshu Narwal and Phool Chandra kept the scoreboard moving for the Warriorz, Deepak Sankar recorded his first tackle and finished with 50 tackle points in the PKL to keep his team ahead.
Although Vishwas S contributed to the Season 7 winners as well, they were unable to respond to Alireza Mirzaian’s Super 10 finish. Alireza’s ALL OUT on Bengal Warriorz quickly increased the Bulls’ lead from ten points to a commanding sixteen points. With the score at 29–12, Yogesh Dahiya finally made his impact, capping a strong first half performance for his squad.
Bengaluru Bulls led this match by a significant margin, and the one-way traffic persisted in the second half. Prior to Phool Chandra recording a tackle for the Bengal Warriorz, Sanjay and Aashish Malik did so. Himanshu Narwal tried his hardest to get closer as well, but the Bulls didn’t give him any reprieve.
Alireza continued his excellent play on the attacking end of the mat, while Aashish Malik was making contributions on both ends. With ten minutes remaining, the Bulls had a dominating twenty-point lead thanks to a couple of tackles from Deepak Sankar.
Sandeep Saini helped the Warriorz with a few tackles, including a Super tackle, while Himanshu Narwal also tried his hardest to generate some momentum. The Bulls scored another ALL OUT to increase their lead to 23 points, but their team was far behind the eight ball.
When Deepak Sankar finished his High Five, the Bulls defense was unrelenting. With a two-point raid, Ahmad Reza Asgari also scored his first points, allowing his team to score a fourth ALL OUT. As the Bulls scored fifty points and defeated the Bengal Warriorz 54-23 to eliminate them from playoff contention, he also made an impression with a tackle.
