IPL 2026: BCCI reschedules Gujarat Titans-Chennai Super Kings clashes due to civic polls in Ahmedabad

Due to municipal corporation elections in Ahmedabad and other areas of Gujarat on April 26, the BCCI changed the Indian Premier League 2026 schedule on Monday, switching the matches between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings on April 26 and May 21.

Originally scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on April 26, the afternoon match between GT and CSK will instead take place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, beginning at 3:30 PM IST.

As a result, the May 21 evening return match between CSK and GT has been moved to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where it will start at 7:30 PM IST.

“The change has been necessitated in view of the municipal corporation elections in Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat scheduled on April 26, 2026,” the BCCI said in a release.
