Star raider Pawan Sehrawat responded to the news on Saturday after his side, Tamil Thalaivas, ordered him home for the remainder of the current Pro Kabaddi League season, citing disciplinary reasons. Sehrawat denied the accusations, stating that he would quit kabaddi if they turned out to be accurate.
“The team has called me undisciplined. I have been a part of the India team so I know very well what the meaning of discipline is. If I am found to be undisciplined and whatever allegations the team have levelled against me, if there’s even 1% truth in it, I promise to you guys that I will stop playing Kabaddi. I am still standing firm on this. I am saying that I am right and am not wrong anywhere,” Pawan Sehrawat said.
He thanked the supporters for their support at the start of the video and stated that he and Arjun had some plans for the team’s future, but they were unable to materialize because of a certain person.
“After yesterday’s post, I thank all of you for your calls and messages. I was in the same team in season 9, and I received a lot of support through my injury back then. Arjun, my younger brother, and I made a lot of plans to take the team forward. However, we were unable to do so due to a particular individual,” he added.
The Thalaivas announced on Saturday that they were sending Sehrawat home and that he would not be participating in the current season any more.
“Pawan Sehrawat has been sent home from the squad for the remainder of the season owing to disciplinary reasons. This decision has been made after due consideration and in alignment with the team’s code of conduct,” the franchise said in a statement which they posted on X.
After playing for the Telugu Titans for two years, Sehrawat joined the Thalaivas prior to current season and has already appeared in three games.
