At the BCCI’s apex council’s Annual General Meeting on December 22, the contracts of women players in domestic cricket and batting mainstays Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be revised.
Decisions about the contracts of Kohli and Rohit, who have both retired from Tests and T20Is during the past year and currently only play in ODI cricket, are anticipated at the 31st AGM of the apex council, which will take place virtually.
In that regard, veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who was named vice-captain for the most recent Test assignment, star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, and India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill may all be classified as A-plus players.
Among other things, the board’s digital properties will be updated and umpire and match referee compensation will be revised.
This would be the first AGM of the apex council since the BCCI appointed Devajit Saikia and Prabhtej Singh Bhatia as secretary and joint secretary, respectively, and Mithun Manhas as president and Raghuram Bhatt as treasurer in September.
Jaydev Shah, the president of the Saurashtra Cricket Association, joined the board as a councillor at the most recent elections.
