Asia Cup: PCB chief and mind coach rally to boost Pakistan ahead of India clash

Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, visited the national team’s nets on Saturday to speak with the players and encourage them before their crucial Super 4s Asia Cup match against India.

In an effort to lessen the players’ stress levels prior to Sunday’s crucial match, the PCB has also hired motivational speaker Dr. Raheel Ahmed.

Several young players on the Pakistani team have reportedly been finding it difficult to handle the tremendous psychological strain of playing against an all-star Indian line-up.

Some of them have already had one-on-one sessions with Dr. Ahmed to determine the underlying reasons for their mental breakdowns under pressure.

After Pakistan’s group league matches were over, Dr. Ahmed joined the contingent and has been collaborating closely with the support personnel ever since, according to a source in the squad setup.

For the second consecutive game, Pakistan also made the unusual decision to forgo their traditional pre-match press conference, which fueled rumors about the heated climate in the camp.
