Australia wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis is expected to join Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) squad, ahead of his side’s IPL match against Mumbai Indians on May 4, ESPNcricinfo has reported.
According to the report, Inglis, who got married on April 18 will spend few more weeks with his family before he travels to India to link up with his IPL franchise LSG for the remainder of the season.
Inglis was bought by LSG for a whopping Rs 8.60 crore in last year’s mega auction.
If the Australian batter is available from May 4, he could feature in LSG’s last six league matches, depending on how the side adjusts its combination.
He made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings in the 2025 season and had a decent run. In 11 matches, he scored 278 runs at an average of 30.88 and an impressive strike rate of 162.57, including a century.
In another development, South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje left the LSG camp last week, though the reason for his exit is still unclear. He played just one game this season, against Delhi Capitals on April 1, where he conceded 39 runs in four overs without taking a wicket.
LSG, led by Rishabh Pant, are struggling at the moment. After a 54-run loss to Punjab Kings on Sunday, they are placed eighth on the points table with only two wins from six matches. They will next face Rajasthan Royals in Lucknow on April 22.
