
Virat Kohli would be eyeing a major milestone when IPL 2026 gets underway on March 28, as the veteran RCB player has a chance to become the first batter in the tournament’s history to score 9,000 runs.
Kohli leads the most runs scored by a batter in IPL with 8661 runs followed by Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan 7046 and 6769 runs, respectively. There are four more Indian batsmen who feature in the top-10 of the list.
At No. 5 is Suresh Raina with 5528 runs, followed by MS Dhoni (5439) and KL Rahul (5222) in the sixth and seventh positions. At No. 9 with 5032 runs is KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane.
The other batters who feature in the top-10 of IPL’s most runs list are David Warner with 6565 runs, AB de Villiers with 5162 runs, and Chris Gayle with 4965 runs.
