‘Don’t disturb Chetta’: Suryakumar Yadav’s banter with Sanju Samson goes viral – Watch

The Indian team landed in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday, January 29, ahead of their last Twenty20 International against New Zealand, and despite all the pressure around Sanju Samson, they were beaming. At the airport, Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian captain, was spotted making a playful jab at the local hero.

In a video shared by the Indian cricket board (BCCI) on their official X handle, Suryakumar Yadav can be seen asking the people around to give way for their arrival in a joking manner.

He says,” Please give way, do not disturb Chetta (big brother in Malayalam).”

Sanju is spotted arriving with a smirk on his face when the Indian captain says this.

Samson has participated in the team’s prior trips to Thiruvananthapuram over the course of his international career. However, he has never got the opportunity to play in India’s colors in front of his home crowd. This would be a significant turning point in his career and would be the ideal approach to allay his worries about form as they prepare for the T20 World Cup after this series.

Samson hasn’t been able to reach at least a half-century since taking Shubman Gill’s place at the top of the order. Barring two instances, he has also been unable to make it past the powerplay as well.

Fortunately, there have been signs that he may be regaining his form, particularly in the last match in Visakhapatnam, where he struck 24 in 15 balls. Even though he did not have the start he was hoping for, it is still encouraging for the series’ last game.
