Jaipur gears up for T10 Thrill: Irfan, Yusuf Pathan to headline 7-day tennis ball league

A high-octane 10-over-per-side tennis ball cricket competition called the LEGEN-Z T10 competition is planned to take place in Jaipur after the IPL frenzy. With six teams led by former international stars, the week-long competition will begin at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Thursday.

The six participating teams will be captained by well-known players including Aaron Finch, Ross Taylor, Herschelle Gibbs, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, and Tillakaratne Dilshan. These luminaries will be joined on the field and in the dressing room by 74 Indian players who were chosen through local trials.

Upon arriving in Jaipur for the launch, former Indian cricket captain and league mentor Mohammad Azharuddin conveyed his excitement.

“Platforms like the LEGEN-Z T10 League are truly inspiring. They don’t just entertain, but motivate the next generation to dream big,” he said. “Playing alongside global cricketing legends will be a life-changing experience for young talents.”

Royal Challengers Delhi and Bengal Tigers will play their first match of the tournament on August 7 at 5 PM. There will be three matches every day from August 7 to August 11. Additionally, Qualifier 1, Eliminator, and Qualifier 2 will compete in the knockout stages on August 12; the grand final is set for August 13.

Chiranjeev Dubey, a native of Jaipur and the league’s founder and CEO, stated that the league’s mission is to make dreams come true.

“We want to offer young talent a platform where they can compete alongside the cricketing idols they’ve grown up admiring,” said Dubey. “Hosting the league at my hometown’s SMS Stadium makes this journey even more special.”

In addition to providing entertainment, the competition offers up-and-coming Indian cricketers a chance for growth as they compete against seasoned foreign players in professional settings.
