Kagiso Rabada upbeat as South Africa prepare for stern India Test

India will begin a two-match Test series against South Africa, the World Test Champions from Friday, November 14.

With the Proteas starting their ICC World Test Championship cycle with a 1-1 draw against Pakistan, Shubman Gill and his men will not have it easy and a fierce contest is expected.

South Africa’s seasoned pacer Kagiso Rabada stated that their youthful squad is prepared for the task.

”India is a challenging place to go and play but you have to take the challenge on. I think, the guys who are coming up, we’ve got a young team and the guys who will be selected for that, will be up for that challenge,” Rabada told Star Sports.

”And playing in an away series in India would be a fantastic achievement to win over in India. I mean, that’s really exciting and that’s what we’re going to be geared towards doing,” he added.

Rabada struck a vital 71 in the second Test match against Pakistan, putting up a 98-run partnership with Senuran Muthusamy for the tenth wicket to bring the Proteas back from the brink and win to level the series.

Temba Bavuma, who returns after missing the tour against Pakistan, will lead the current World Test Champions.
