Smriti Mandhana’s ODI supremacy unshaken despite recent failures

Even though her advantage has dwindled after two lackluster showings at the current ICC Women’s World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, star Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana still leads the ODI batting charts.

With 791 rating points, Mandhana leads Nat Sciver-Brunt of England by 60 points. In the showpiece event, the Indian has scored 8 runs against Sri Lanka and 23 against Pakistan. She smashed consecutive hundreds in the three-match WODI series against Australia right before the World Cup.

With 713 rating points, Beth Mooney of Australia comes in third.

Following World Cup hundreds against New Zealand, Tazmin Brits of South Africa (706) and Ashleigh Gardner of Australia (697) have made significant progress to move up to fourth and fifth place, respectively, and close the gap on Mandhana.

Gardner set a new career high by moving up seven rankings, while Tazmin rose up two spots.

Sophie Devine, the captain of New Zealand, has also jumped seven spots to eighth place, and Sidra Amin, a left-hander for Pakistan, has tied her career-high ranking of 10th after scoring 81 against India in Colombo on Saturday.

With 792 rating points, Sophie Ecclestone of England is at the top of the most latest bowling ratings. Meanwhile, spinner Deepti Sharma (640) is the sole Indian in the top-10 at No. 6, having fallen a spot.
