After losing the T20 series 0–4, the return of Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli in the ODI format gave the Indian team a boost.

Gill hit 11 fours and a six to put India well on track for their pursuit of 259 against England before he retired hurt at 80 off 75 balls.

Gill’s rating points increased by 12 as a result of the performance, and he is currently only 11 points behind Daryl Mitchell, the top batsman in the ODI rankings.

Bumrah’s amazing comeback, which saw him return to 24th place in the bowling rankings and take one wicket, hurt India’s bowling.
