Nitin Kumar continued his excellent play to record another Super 10 for the two-time champions Jaipur team, and Ali Samadi also excelled with nine raid points.
Aryan Kumar and Deepanshu Khatri each recorded three tackles, while Reza Mirbagheri recorded four. Gagan Gowda’s 15 points and Sumit Sangwan’s four tackle points that evening were insufficient for UP Yoddhas.
The home team got off to a calm start as the UP Yoddhas dominated the mat. The Yoddhas took an early lead thanks to a two-point raid from Bhavani Rajput and a bonus point from Shivam Chaudhary.
Gagan Gowda scored for them as well, which helped his team put pressure on the Pink Panthers’ defense early on.
Ali Samadi and Nitin Kumar soon took the lead for the home team as they attempted to give the match a boost. The latter leveled the score at 5-5 with a two-point raid.
Reza Mirbagheri’s tackle helped the Pink Panthers build momentum and force an All Out, giving his team a three-point lead going into the first break.
Reza Mirbagheri and Ali Samadi, both Iranians, contributed on both ends of the mat to help the home team open a five-point lead. With a two-point raid and another All Out, the former was on a run and helped the Pink Panthers gain a 10-point lead.
The Pink Panthers took a 23–12 lead at the interval, further solidifying their supremacy.
At the beginning of the second half, Gagan led the Yoddhas’ aggressive charge as they charged out with intent. Additionally, Sumit Sangwan recorded his first tackle, which helped his team narrow the gap. But Deepanshu Khatri’s Super Tackle made sure the Pink Panthers maintained their ten-point lead.
The hosts reduced the game’s pace to maintain their lead because they had a sizable lead. Sumit Sangwan attempted to motivate his troops with four tackle points for the Yoddhas. His side was behind by double digits going into the final quarter of the match, despite the captain’s best efforts.
The Pink Panthers made sure to end the game with an emphatic finish by being unrelenting. In fact, they scored ten tackle points in a game for the first time in five games. Gagan, meanwhile, completed his fourth Super 10 in PKL 12 while fighting for the Yoddhas.
In order to complete an impressive performance, Nitin Kumar also recorded his Super 10 and went for another All Out. Gagan gave the Yoddhas a Super Raid in the end, but it was insufficient as the Jaipur Pink Panthers won 41-29.
