U Mumba displayed their superiority over the Bengaluru Bulls, defeating them 48-28 at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag on Friday. Their captain Sunil Kumar led an all-around performance, with the formidable Ajit Chouhan recording a Super 10 that included a six-point raid and Rinku scoring a High Five.
The Bengaluru Bulls launched the first raid to start the game, but U Mumba got ahead 2-0 in the first few minutes thanks to a successful raid and a powerful tackle. Bengaluru Bulls promptly made it 3-3 after Aashish Malik’s successful raid put them on the scoring. But Anil’s shrewd raid gave U Mumba the lead again, and the season 2 winners took control after that.
The Bulls were put under early pressure when U Mumba extended their lead to 8-3 thanks to a full team effort. By the first Time Out, U Mumba had a 13-5 lead and the momentum remained with them.
Then, Ajit Chouhan took control and scored six points in a single run with an incredible Super Raid. The raid of the season thus far brought him Yogesh, Aashish Malik, Dheeraj, Satyappa Matti, Akash Shinde, and Deepak Sankar. He quickly finished his Super 10, reminding fans of the legendary Pardeep Narwal of his prime.
U Mumba put additional pressure on the Bulls after that, and they quickly scored three more points to make it 23-7 with the second ALL OUT. With a dominant 29–12 advantage at the interval, U Mumba had taken total control of the game.
There was no question about the contest’s conclusion as U Mumba continued to dominate the second half against the Bengaluru Bulls. Sathish Kannan and Anil took over after Ajit Chouhan, who was playing at an incredible level, was injured. Their raids often penetrated the Bulls’ defense, while U Mumba’s backline held firm to crush any opposition.
The game was clearly one-sided as U Mumba’s defense made several great tackles and caused the Bulls to make mistakes. Leading from the front, Ravi, Lokesh Ghosliya, and Rinku put an end to raids before they could gain momentum. U Mumba reacted right away, even during the Bulls’ brief opportunities to use Ganesha Hanamantagol and Alireza Mirzaian.
Aashish Malik attempted to provide the Bengaluru Bulls some opposition by launching a powerful raid, but the distance was already too big. Throughout, U Mumba’s defense stayed disciplined and effective, giving the Bulls few opportunities. In defense, Rinku was particularly noteworthy for finishing his High Five and controlling the opposition raiders.
With a decisive victory of 20 points, U Mumba ultimately sealed a one-sided match and demonstrated their dominance.
