IPL 2026: Richard Gleeson comes in for RCB as CSK opt for Kuldip Yadav over Khaleel Ahmed

Delhi left-arm pacer Kuldip Yadav was picked by Chennai Super Kings on Friday to replace Khaleel Ahmed, while Richard Gleeson, an Englishman, was brought in by Royal Challengers Bengaluru to replace Nuwan Thushara for the rest of the 2026 Indian Premier League.

Due to injuries, Khaleel and Thushara have both been ruled out. According to an IPL announcement, Kuldip would join CSK for Rs 30 lakh, while Gleeson will join RCB for Rs 1.6 crore.

Kuldip has played in three games for the Rajasthan Royals since making his IPL debut in 2021.

Gleeson has taken nine wickets in six Twenty20 International matches for his country. He played in two games for CSK and one for the Mumbai Indians during the league’s 2024 and 2025 seasons.
