
Puneri Paltan defeated the Gujarat Giants by an overwhelming margin of 22 points thanks to a defensive masterclass. At the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag on Monday, the Season 10 champions won 41-19, demonstrating their dominance on both sides of the mat.
Gurdeep and Gaurav Khatri each scored four tackle points, while Abinesh Nadarajan took the lead with a high five. Aditya Shinde, Pankaj Mohite, and Aslam Inamdar also helped the team as they dominated the Gujarat Giants.
With Aslam Inamdar and Pankaj Mohite leading the raiding team, the Paltan got off to a strong start. With four tackle points in the first 10 minutes, Abinesh Nadarajan also made an impression on defense. After giving the Gujarat Giants an ALL OUT, they easily took a six-point lead in the first few minutes of play.
With five minutes left in the first half, Abinesh Nadarajan finished his High Five, and the team captained by Aslam Inamdar quickly began to further establish their dominance. By reaching the 400-point milestone in the PKL, Pankaj Mohite further put pressure on the Gujarat Giants. Puneri Paltan was up by six points at the end of the first half (17–11).
In the second half, Puneri Paltan kept up his relentless play on both sides of the mat, leaving the Gujarat Giants with little room to maneuver. After Puneri Paltan scored nine points thanks to a two-point raid by Aditya Shinde, they quickly scored another ALL OUT to make the game fourteen points.
The Gujarat Giants put out their best effort, but between their two ALL OUTs, they were unable to record a single point. Puneri Paltan’s dominance was summed up by Mohammadreza Shadloui, who finished the game with 0 points for the first time since season 8.
With the score at 41-19, the team coached by Ajay Thakur ultimately put the game beyond any doubt and completed a dominant performance with a 22-point victory.
