2026 T20 World Cup: Final in Ahmedabad, five venues finalised by BCCI

The BCCI has selected Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai to host the T20 World Cup next year; Ahmedabad will host the final.

Ahmedabad, which is home to the largest cricket stadium in the world with a capacity of more than one lakh, also hosted the 2023 ODI World Cup final between Australia and India.

Ten venues were used for that edition of the prestigious tournament.

The complete schedule for the February–March competition is expected to be released by the ICC next week.

According to an agreement with India, Sri Lanka would co-host the tournament and serve as a neutral location for Pakistan.

The games will take place in three venues in Sri Lanka, including Colombo.

After winning the last World Cup in Barbados in June last year, India will enter the home tournament as the reigning champions.

The five Indian venues that were selected are Tier 1 cities and are anticipated to attract large crowds. The summit clash will take place in Sri Lanka if Pakistan advances to the final.

As agreed upon by the ICC, BCCI, and PCB, India and Pakistan will play all of their matches at a neutral location until 2027, regardless of the host country.
